MANITOUWADGE, ON – This time of year holds a special place in the hearts of everyone – especially schools.  This year September 26th was designated as the Terry Fox National School Run Day. As in previous years,  MPS students were out in full force to honour a very motivated and inspirational young person – Terry Fox.

The Manitouwadge Public School holds dear Terry’s memory, his spectacular feat and his phenomenal contribution to cancer research and it is great to see young people carry on the tradition by getting  pledges for this great cause.

This year three of our students, Taya, Miah and River Wheadon [CLICK HERE to see the impressive 2012 efforts made by these siblings] went far beyond and raised a whopping total of $583.50  for the Terry Fox Foundation!  Our goal was to raise $700.00 and we did it!!!

Congratulationsto the students of Manitouwadge Public School for another job well done!
