MANITOUWADGE, ON – The June 2014 Issue of OntarioNewsNorth.com’s printed publication has been slightly delayed in the printing stage but we are still hopeful that distribution will begin on the West tomorrow.

The business which prints ONN On The Road for OntarioNewsNorth.com (for this post will call it “The Printer”) began work almost immediately upon receipt of the electronic version of our June issue however, just as things were going well, 480 of 3000 copies successfully printed, their 2 printers (the actual machines) failed.

Knowing OntarioNewsNorth.com had a very tight schedule to keep (the plan was tht the next 3 days – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – would see distribution of ONN On The Road completed on the Northshore with Greenstone following after the weekend thanks to the help of a Geraldton resident who distributes for OntarioNewsNorth.com in Greenstone) ‘The Printer” contacted Editor Karina Hunter immediately to advise her of what had transpired. Well, to keep the story relatively short, the bottom line would end up being that they would not be seeing a repair person until Wednesday morning at the earliest and of course printing of the remaining 2620 copies cannot resume until then.

Hopefully the problems with their machines are minimal so that printing can resume quickly. Though tonight, “The Printer” has assembled the 480 which were successfully printed and folded, trying to help where they could in light of the delays, “The Printer” does not regularly assemble the ONN On The Road prior to shipping and so we will be receiving our printed issue at least a 1/2 day later than we expected with hours of assembly still needed. The current plan is that once “The Printer” ‘s printers (machines) are repaired they will call Hunter so that she can begin travelling to Thunder Bay to arrive after printing has successfully been completed and then, leave Thunder Bay travelling East to distribute along the way (but this will only be possible if still within regular business hours when arriving in the Red Rock area.

Hopefully things will fall into place to allow distribution to come back on schedule… In the meantime, if you’d like to enjoy our June 2014 issue, click on the image of the 1st page above on the left (a PDF of the June issue will open).  Hopefully we will see many of you, on the West, tomorrow during distribution. If you do see the OntarioNewsNorth.com van in your community, don’t be shy, we love meeting readers, say hello!
