MANITOUWADGE, ON – The 1st Manitouwadge Spark/Brownie/Guide unit, accompanied by several Guiders and parents recently shared their voices during an evening of carolling. The group divided into two smaller choirs, half of the girls and adults heading downtown, their holiday spirits un-dampened by the drizzling rain, while the other half visited the common room at Lakeview Terrace.

At Lakeview, residents joined in the carolling, which even included a French song much enjoyed by Francophone residents in attendance.  After the songs, the residents invited the girls, Guiders and parents to stay, sharing with them some delicious treats they had prepared. One of the Guiders quickly texted the other group, which had been singing downtown, to tell them of the hospitality being extended by Lakeview Terrace residents who were pleased to have the carollers regroup to stay and socialize a while.  The Sparks, Brownies and Guides, and of course the accompanying adults, enjoyed the opportunity to make some new friends.

The evening  was a wonderful opportunity for the Spark/Brownie/Guide Unit to share their talents, and in doing so, spread holiday cheer with many in their community.  The carollers extend their thanks to Lakeview Terrace residents for the warm welcome, and delicious treats they received.
