#CrossoverInsider : New Release Trailers, Congratulations Jared Paris & March’s Top 10 Rentals

Over the past few years, a noticeable trend has emerged at theatres across North America- horror movies are huge again. While we may never see another classic like The Exorcist, The Shining or The Birds, recent titles like Conjuring, IT, Don’t Breathe and Get Out have captivated audiences while earning huge bucks at the box office. It is therefore no surprise that more and more horror movies are being released. This week’s headline new release is the fourth and supposed final installment in the popular Insidious series. “Last Key” leads a week that sees the debut of five new titles, with a brief synopsis of each below;

Father Figures: starring Ed Helms, Owen Wilson and Glenn Close- When they learn that their mother has been lying to them for years about their allegedly deceased father, two fraternal twin brothers hit the road in order to find him. Sweet Virginia: starring Jon Bernthal- In the wake of a triple murder that leaves a close-knit community on edge, a mysterious stranger arrives and forms an unlikely friendship with the owner of a local motel. (Drama/Thriller) (DVD)

Crucifixion: starring Sophie Cookson- An investigative journalist tackles a terrifying case involving a priest who has been jailed for murder after the death of a nun that he performed an exorcism on. (Horror) (DVD)

Honey: Rise Up and Dance: starring Teyana Taylor- An aspiring street dancer finds herself at a crossroads in her life when she decides to compete for a college scholarship against far more experienced talent. (Drama) (DVD)
