Terrace Bay Rebranding!
At the May 31st Council meeting, Terrace Bay Council approved the rebranding plan presented by Administration which includes developing a new logo and slogan for the Township.
The logo will be developed by administration and the company Shout Media from Thunder Bay based on images and public feedback from the downtown revitalization project and its theme of Lake Superior. Administration will present three mockups to Council for their feedback with a recommendation as to which one fits best with future marketing goals.
For the slogan, the Township will be running a contest open to everyone starting Monday June 7 until Friday June 25 for slogan ideas; guidelines are easy:

Put on your thinking cap and share your ideas by Friday, June 25th. The decision to work on rebranding Terrace Bay came from the realization tht a consisted and connected image representing our Municipality would be benificial. Funds are limited for Township advertising and any marketing done must be as effective as possible.
The new logo and slogan will fit with the Lake Superior theme of the $3 million downtown project and how we want to position our Municipality in the minds of visitors. We are regularly told how beautiful our community is and that its position on the shores of Lake Superior with our business sector overlooking the Lake is our greatest strength. The current logo (below) and slogan (Gem of the North Shore) will be maintained for historical purposes as the Community is not suggesting to replace its history, which it highly values, but rather wishing to present an new inter-related theme which visitors will see as soon as they enter the Municipality in its entrance signage, highway billboards, banners, and throughout.
The entire rebranding project should be completed over the Summer with the new logo and slogan being unveiled at a future community event. For more information, visit www.terracebay.ca/news.
