MANITOUWADGE, ON  – Friday, January 28th, Our Lady of Lourdes School invited parents and guardians to join a day of fun with their children, dress code for all: pyjamas. Everyone grouped into their school families to participate in an afternoon spent at Literacy Day centres, organized by Miss Dzijacky focused on pairing learning with fun.

There were 5 Centres which groups enjoyed in turn, rotating approximately every 15min;

GIANT SNAKES & LADDERS (gym)

Students chose the youngest person in the family to be the game piece for their group, sitting on a scooter to be moved around the game board (outlined with coloured tape on the gymnasium floor). Question categories were identified by coloured circles on the ‘board’.  ‘Game Piece’ students could only be moved to the next spot if they answered the question correctly.  The rest of the rules followed traditional snakes and ladders.
