FUN WITH FITNESS – 6 Great Travelling Exercises

Wherever you’re at, exercises can go with you. Here are 6 key exercises you can do this summer anywhere at anytime without needing a gym. Some of these exercises require the use of a simple but, effective rubber band that’s easy to pack next to that yellow bikini.

  1. Reverse lunges with shoulder press; Using the rubber band, place the middle underneath your left foot, and lunge back with your right as you shoulder press up for a count of 10. Reverse legs, and repeat 3 times.
  2. Upright rows; Place rubber band underneath one foot, palm of fists facing down and elbows out, and pull up under your chin for a count of 10 and repeat 3 times. The wider your feet are in this exercise, the more resistance you will have.
  3. Core Resistance; For this exercise you will have to tie one end of your rubber band to a pole, or allow your partner to hold onto it. Take one end and standing beside the rubber band and pull while twisting your abdomen and holding for a count of 3. Repeat for a count ten and then change sides.
  4. Push ups with leg lifts; Simple. Push up, come down, hold and lift right leg up, repeat and lift left leg up. Repeat as many times as you can.
  5. Burpees; Great for over eaters on vacation! Start in standing position, squat down, hands on the floor, and throw legs out behind you, then squat and return to standing position. Repeat as many times as you can.
  6. Jumping jacks; Always fun, convenient, and you can do this anywhere. The best part is, that it gets your heart moving for a total body work out in just a few quick minutes.
