TRAFFIC STOP NEAR GERALDTON RESULTS IN THREE ARRESTS
GERALDTON, ON – Monday March 12, 2012, Greenstone OPP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11 on a westbound 2001 Chevrolet Suburban.
After a lengthy roadside investigation the three occupants of the vehicle eventually were identified as Sonny Steve YOUNG, 41 years of age, Tinna Marie MITCHELL, 41 years of age and a 17 year old male. All three were charged with Possession of Marihuana and Obstruct Police. YOUNG was further charged with 10 breaches of his recognizance. Located in the vehicle was a substantial quantity of high end hand bags, high end shoes, expensive jewellery and a large amount of cash.
The OPP is continuing this investigation. All three were remanded into custody in Thunder Bay,Ontario. The occupants had warrants and outstanding charges throughout numerous jurisdictions in southern Ontario and Eastern Canada.
