Manitouwadge Harvested Bear Lands In Toronto Sun Photo Shoot

TORONTO, ON – Monday, January 23rd Manitouwadge native Amanda Lynn Hare (née Mayhew) was the focus of a photo shoot for the Toronto Sun’s popular daily “Sunshine Girl” feature which profiles women who are both gorgeous and succesful in their carreers (some with modelling experience like Hare but also representing a myriad of other sectors like recent Sunshine Girls Emily the force behind the award winning staffing agency Femme Fatale Media, Brandi who is working on a degree in kinesiology, Krista who aims to be a top defence attorney, or make-up artist and hairstylist Julia) a group of women which Mayhew-Hare says “proves that Canadian women are the most beautiful and talented in the world”.

The shoot was not by any means Hare’s first; she has participated in many having worked for more than a decade, as a fitness model and as spokeswoman for a number of annual non-profit fundraisers she spearheaded, including Flurries Ride for MS (snowmobile tour) and Ride for Progeria (motorcycle event) as well as her own businesses, among them: Mayhew Advertising, Fytness Fanatik Magazine and most recently Backwoods Bones which she owns with her husband Craig Hare. One of her most well-known businesses is Fytness Fanatik Magazine©, which Hare continues to edit and publish.  The magazine celebrates ‘real people’ from all walks of life, some with physical challenges or medical conditions they have overcome, and their personal or professional accomplishments many of those featured crediting in large part Hare’s popularized “Be Real, Be Strong, Be You™”  philosophy and the support they draw from the magazine’s readership and social supports for their successes.

At the Toronto Sun shoot Hare looked fierce with crossbows from Maximus Crossbows’ new 2012 line.  In the typical ‘be yourself” style Amanda Lynn Hare has promoted throughout her career, she did her own hair and make-up (in spite of her glamourous appearance she is no diva) sporting her take on hunting-urbanwear, and even contributing a trophy from one of her Manitouwadge hunts to the shoot; the camo-dipped skull of a bear she harvested in the Manitouwadge area with MacKynzie (one of her three sons) to the set – once again finding a way to get her hometown on topic.  Amanda Lynn has been a shameless promoter of the community and is proud to mention, during her interview with OntarioNewsNorth.com (watch for it coming soon to our YouTube channel or CLICK HERE to watch an interview with Manitouwadge EDO Anthony Friedrich where he explains the upcoming ‘Home of” billboard the town is collaborating with Amanda Lynn to have erected), that she will have promotional materials from Manitouwadge with her when she appears at the 2012 Toronto Sportsmen’s Show as part of the Ontario OUT OF DOORS Hunting Hall seminars (CLICK HERE for full list of presenters) March 14-18 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Be sure to get your copy of the Toronto Sun, March 17th, to see Amanda Lynn Hare featured as Sunshine Girl or drop in to the 2012 Toronto Sportmen’s Show the same day to see her.
